For travellers who want the whole biblical landscape of Turkey, not only the seven churches. The grand tour runs the full Revelation circuit and then continues inland — Hierapolis and Colossae in the Lycus valley, Antioch in Pisidia where Paul preached his first recorded sermon, and the rock-cut churches of Cappadocia where the faith took refuge and flourished.
Every departure is tailor-made: seven days is the comfortable minimum, ten lets Cappadocia breathe, and Tarsus, Antakya (biblical Antioch) or Istanbul’s Byzantine legacy can be added for the truly complete journey.

The classic circuit: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamon, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea, in the order of the letters, ending in the Lycus valley.
Day 5 — The Lycus Valley
Hierapolis and the terraces of Pamukkale, the mound of Colossae — the church of Paul’s letter — and the drive east into the highlands.
Day 6 — Antioch in Pisidia
Yalvaç and the ruins of Pisidian Antioch, where Acts 13 records Paul’s first great sermon, on the road into central Anatolia.

Can the tour start in Istanbul?
Yes — many grand tours open with a day of Byzantine Istanbul (Hagia Sophia, the Chora church) before flying to İzmir to begin the circuit.
Is it suitable for a church congregation or study group?
This is exactly the trip we most often build for congregations, with coach transport, devotional time at the sites and group-friendly hotels. Tell us your group size when you enquire.
