Paul spent longer at Ephesus than anywhere else in his travelling life, and this corner of the coast holds his story densely. Day one walks his Ephesus — the hall of Tyrannus’ city, the theatre of the riot, the harbour road down which he finally sailed.

Day two follows the coast of Acts south: Miletus, where Paul called the Ephesian elders for the farewell of Acts 20; Priene on its mountain shelf; and the colossal oracle temple of Didyma — the pagan world his message overturned.

Day 1

Paul’s Ephesus

The full ancient city with Paul as the thread — where he taught daily for two years, the agora and workshops, the theatre that filled with “Great is Artemis!”, and the harbour street of his departures. The Basilica of Saint John closes the day. Overnight locally.

Day 2

Miletus, Priene & Didyma

South along the old coast: the theatre and harbour monuments of Miletus and the site of the Acts 20 farewell; hillside Priene; then Didyma’s vast Temple of Apollo — the scale of what the gospel faced. Return by evening.

Questions about this tour

Can this be combined with the Seven Churches tour?

Perfectly — most guests run it as a two-day extension before or after the four-day circuit, since both begin from the same coast. Ask for the combined quote.

Is one day possible instead of two?

A single “Miletus, Priene, Didyma” day or a Paul-focused Ephesus day is easy to arrange; two days is simply the comfortable pace for all of it.

Will we have to queue for tickets?

No. We hold priority-pass access as a licensed agency and buy every ticket on your itinerary in advance, so your guide walks the group straight through the priority entrance. On this tour, as on every tour we run, skipping the ticket queue is part of what you are buying.
