Sixty kilometres off this coast lies the island where the Book of Revelation was written. This day tour crosses from Kuşadası to Patmos by morning boat, visits the Cave of the Apocalypse where tradition places John’s visions, climbs to the fortress-monastery of Saint John above Chorá, and returns by evening.

It is the single most moving day this coastline offers — the place where the seven letters began, reached across the same water that first carried them.

Highlights

Itinerary

Morning — The Crossing

Early pickup and boarding at Kuşadası. The crossing to Patmos takes the morning; the island rises from the sea the way John would have seen it.

Midday — Cave & Monastery

The Cave of the Apocalypse on the hillside between harbour and hilltop, then the great walled Monastery of Saint John crowning Chorá, with its courtyards and treasury.

Afternoon — Chorá & Return

Time in the white lanes of Chorá or by the harbour at Skala, then the evening sailing back to Kuşadası.
